Moon Duet
Moon on a stick.
Moon fruit.
I couldn't decide between these two pictures for today. :) Lovely (but chilly) day for a walk in the park.

It Works!
Huzza! The rain washed away the snow, and uncovered my lost camera (right where I'd fallen while being chased with a snowball). And it still works! Canon is amazing!

Christmas Came Early

My advance copy of Sarah Blake's The Postmistress that I won on Goodreads! It's due out Feb 2010. I feel like a real-life book reviewer.

Technology (All Kinds)

Somebody slipped on the icy pavement today. Twice. Within 2 minutes. :p
I got excited thinking my camera phone would suffice before I get the new camera. Then I discovered I couldn't Bluetooth my pictures to my computer for some reason. So I had to take a webcam picture of my camera phone picture...

Lost!
I also lost my camera amidst having too much fun. The universe is nudging me towards getting a new one, like I've been thinking about doing for a while.
In the meantime, I can't update here with daily pictures... :( I'll try to get back on it as soon as possible, and we can look forward to better pictures (for, of course, I'd be getting a better camera than my old trustworthy one!)

Yes, I Ordered It
The snowfall was from this afternoon, and I thought, "They issued a snowstorm warning for this?" But it got a lot heavier later! There must be at least 3 inches on the ground already. Snowman/snowball fight possible tomorrow? ;)

How To Cheat at Cooking
Exam week is not the best time to be clattering around the kitchen, and yet I can't be having pizza or Chinese delivery throughout the week. This recipe was bred by necessity and the fortuitous presence of random ingredients in my fridge/pantry. It must have taken me 30 minutes max.
Warm Spicy Tuna Pasta
2 cans of tuna, any brand
1/2 yellow onion (chopped, diced, however you want it)
1 green pepper (diced, strips, any way you like)
1 tbsp (more or less) sambal oelek
Ranch dressing (just enough)
Black pepper (liberally)
1/2 box pasta, any kind
Cook pasta as per instructions on box.
Combine the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
Add to drained pasta.
Eat.
Continue with studying.

Before Geminid
I was fiddling with my camera settings, taking some night shots and trying to find one that will let me capture the Geminid meteor shower. Unfortunately, my itty-bitty camera was not up to the task of photographing the heavens - that picture remains in my mind.

Wet Winter
Unlike this smart lady, I had not replaced the umbrella I lost a month ago, and consequently got drenched on my way to class. :(
Black and white, inspired by gizmodo's Gray Winter challenge.

Apple Pie
I'm still trying to finish the Thanksgiving apple pie I bought from The Great University Bake Sale, benefiting the Middlesex County Food Organization and Outreach Distribution Services.

Taking Flight
I was inspired to start this photo journal of sorts, by a mentalfloss.com post about a man who took a polaroid a day till the day he died. I wish I had a Polaroid camera like Jamie Livingston did too, because the photos are just imbued with a certain emotion, but since I don't, I'm sure my little point-and-shoot will work just as well.
My blog address dari hari ke hari is Malay for the phrase "from day to day" and I hope I'll be able to find a picture to post everyday. I'll start it off with one that's not from today, but a little over a week ago, which I think is apt - a Mikroman in his autogiro waiting to take off. 'Twas a gift from a visiting friend.
